What has happened to the Renner fandom?

I got on tumblr in the late summer because of WTIJFR, but didn’t start posting until (I believe) late October and in that short time frame this place is not what it once was. It feels like every other day (at least) there is some sort of drama and it’s only gotten worse. It’s gotten so out of hand and I see way too many people say they are afraid to comment on posts for fear of being attacked because they don’t agree with someone.

This is insane women! Tumblr is a blog site - a BLOG SITE - and a blog is your OWN opinions, not everyone elses but YOURS! If we all liked the same things this world would be a boring place! Same goes for tumblr - what if all of us liked the exact same character of Renner’s, we all preferred his hair in a certain style, same for his attire… how effing boring would our dashes be?!?!

Things got way out of control once the baby rumors started and the way some were (and continue) to be treated because they believe or don’t believe the rumors is horrible! Nasty comments are being thrown around and it’s uncalled for. And now it seems that if one person doesn’t like Jeremy’s longer hair or his sunglasses, or his pants, etc., etc. and says as much they get attacked! CHILL OUT WOMEN!!!! CHILL OUT!

If you don’t like what a person says on THEIR blog guess what … that is what the unfollow button is for! Click it and enjoy your dash without seeing comments that get you worked up! It’s as simple as that. Don’t make a big production about how you just might start unfollowing some people for talking about “such and such” just unfollow! All you are doing is adding to the ongoing drama and the cycle never ends.

Another suggestion is if you want to post something and worry about what others will say why not use to “read more” option and use a hashtag that let’s people know you are talking about, for example:”baby renner drama” … that way people don’t have to read it unless they click on the “read more”. Oh and also women… don’t clog the Renner tag with things you know might start drama too - I know there are plenty in this fandom that don’t care either way about certain Renner subjects and would appreciate them being kept out of the tag.

I have commented on some of the “hot topics” here and there but have tried to stay out of it, but then the other day I realized that I’m letting other people dictate what I say or don’t say on MY blog… well women I’m a 37-year-old grown ass woman and I’ll be dammed if I’m gonna not say what I want. If I do chose to talk about certain things (and we know what) I’ll post it with a “read more” and won’t use the Renner tag, that way the people who follow me and don’t want to read it won’t be forced to see it on their dashes.

What else has changed within the Renner fandom is that there are certain people who have “hijacked” this fandom and are developing massive egos - and by that I mean they constantly are stirring up shit, attacking fellow Renner women for not thinking the same as them and what is now happening is others are following their example and doing the same thing because they think that behavior is okay. Just because YOU think you’re right about something doesn’t mean you are, nor does it mean the other person is either but there is no need to be rude, demand proof, or call them out for what they say.

If someone is being a complete jackass and being downright mean that is another story - by all means they deserve plenty of rude comments coming their way, but what I personally see is far from that. What’s going to happen sooner or later is that most of the kind, wonderful women in our fandom are going to leave, I know quite a few are at the breaking point and don’t find it to be a fun place anymore.

We all came together because of Jeremy Renner, we like different characters he plays, we like different looks on him, etc, etc and that makes it more fun - and most of us on here can handle that we may not always share the same perspectives when it comes to Renner and there are no hard feelings. But for the others who can’t seem to grasp the meaning of what an opinion is… you seriously need to take a deep breathe and relax! If you can’t handle other peoples view points on a web site… I worry for you in your real life!

I’ve connected with a lot of wonderful women on here, many of whom I talk to daily and though we don’t always agree we can still have a rational discussion and NO DRAMA.

So please…. PLEASE can we all go back to just loving Jeremy Renner and can some of you stop worrying what other fans are commenting on, attacking fellow fans, purposefully starting drama, trying to be the “Renner police”, the “know-it-all attitudes”, and check your massive egos at the tumblr door? PLEASE!!!!!!
